Aide

If you are looking for a stimulating position working with children and families, this may be the right fit for you. This is an exciting opportunity to function as an Aide to our Lead/Assistant Teacher at A Brighter Day Quality Learning Center. We have openings in all of our programs areas, including Infants, Toddlers, Pre-Schoolers, and School-Agers. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the lead teacher with both long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives and practices, and program philosophy

  • Arrange a classroom environment in accordance to program goals and philosophy

  • Maintain daily open communication with parents

  • Maintain confidentiality

  • Report any suspect abuse to supervisor

  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment

  • Attend inservice and staff meetings, conferences, seminars, continuing educations courses as directed (minimum of 15 hours per year)

  • Keep all appropriate records, attendance, and time sheets.

  • Meet all applicable liscensing regulations

  • Be famiiar with operational policies

  • Have and maintain current certification in CPR and first aide with rescue breathing and choking.

  • Other duties as assigned

The qualifying candidate must have the vision to anticipate what needs to be accomplished, the ability to follow through with assigned tasks, and the organizational skills to make seemingly complex ideas become reality.
Qualifications:
  • Age 16 years/older or in High School, High School Diploma preferred
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Familiar with basic computer programs (Word, Excel, email & web browsers)
  • Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
