Assistant Director

This is an exciting opportunity to function as the Assistant Manager of A Brighter Day Quality Learning Center. The right candidate will learn how to run a successful customer-service business and create and maintain a quality educational environment. Some of the candidates many responsibilities will include:
  • Working with the Director to coordinate our environment, staff, equipment, curriculum, and food programs so that they continue to be the best in the industry.
  • Staff scheduling
  • Supporting and enabling staff by facilitating communications with the Director and providing guidance and leadership
  • Fostering strong interpersonal relationships between staff, children, and parents.
  • Working with the Director to develop enrollment & incentive programs
  • Attend inservice and staff meetings, conferences, seminars, continuing educations courses as directed (minimum of 15 hours per year)
  • Facilitating parent communications
  • Marketing & sales
  • Maintaining billing records
  • Function & event coordinating
  • Fund-raising
  • Maintaining supplies
We are looking for a responsible, creative, and articulate person who is friendly and outgoing, nurturing, respectful, and supportive. The qualifying candidate must have the vision to anticipate what needs to be accomplished, the ability to follow through with assigned tasks, and the organizational skills to make seemingly complex ideas become reality.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, Associates degree acceptable
  • Strong organizational skills, strong business skills.
  • Comfortable with basic bookkeeping tasks
  • Familiar with basic computer programs, such as Word, Excel, email & web browsers
  • Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing
  • Background in education preferred, but not necessary
  • Early childhood education and/or directorship credentials would be valuable
