Van/Bus Driver

If you are looking for a stimulating position working with children and families, this may be the right fit for you. We are looking for a quality individual to transport children and staff to schools, field trips, and other locations as approved by the A Brighter Day Quality Learning Center Director.  Responsibilities include:
  • Providing quality and safe transportation for children and staff.
  • Providing care, support, direction, and supervision to children
  • Keeping the Director informed of any necessary information regarding the care and safety of children
  • Completing timely and accurate documentation according to ABDQLC and other licensing or regulation requirements.
  • Assists and accepts responsibility in other daily center duties that might be temporary in the event other personnel are not available
  • May be required to transport center vehicle for servicing (oil change, state inspections, etc.
  • Attends and participates in all staff meetings, center events, and parent meetings as requested
  • Ability to respond quickly and appropriately if an emergency situation required
  • Ability to be flexible in assignment and work hours required
We are looking for a responsible, creative, and articulate person who is friendly and outgoing, nurturing, respectful, and supportive.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, Associates degree preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing
  • Good verbal, listening, and written communication skills required
  • CPR and First Aid certification required
  • Current driver’s license required with no more than 3 moving violations in past three years (no alcohol or drug related convictions)
